School Program Volunteer Orientation

School Program Volunteer Orientation/Training offered on Feb. 13 / 9:00 am- 2:00 pm

GREENVILLE – Paris Mountain State Park will hold a School Program Volunteer Orientation on Tuesday, Feb 13 from 9 a.m. till 2 p.m.

School Program Volunteers are naturalists at heart who want to share the wonders of nature with 2nd and 5th graders, in the park’s Discover Carolina school programs. Some volunteers assist students with their measurements and observations down at the creek.  Some volunteers with a naturalist background lead 2nd graders on a nature hike around Lake Placid or assist in a 5th grade Forest Ecology program.  At the Feb 13 session, the park staff and seasoned volunteers will train participants for the spring season, from 9 a.m. till 2 p.m.    Participants should dress for the weather, and bring a bag lunch. We will meet at Park Center.  Registration required.

For registration and information, call the office at (864)244-5565, or email the interpretive ranger at
