Family Weekday Hikes: 2018-TBA

• Creek Ranger Hike: Most Fridays in the summer at 10 am, you can join us on a hike to Mountain Creek, searching for animals and their homes.  Bring shoes that can get wet so you can get in the water (or use the park’s water shoes)!   Finish at the park lab, to look at water animals under the microscope.  Dates:  finished for 2017

• Turtle Trail Naturalist Hike: On some 4th Fridays in the summer at 10 am, take a hike on the Turtle Trail, practicing the skills of a naturalist.  Helpful hand-outs provided.  Dates: finished for 2017

• Wet ‘n Wild Wednesday Walk: Walk to the park lab to investigate the world of wet ‘n wild water animals, with some live animals to see and touch.  How are they suited to swim, eat, and survive in a watery world?  Make a water strider, and get it to float when we venture out, searching for fish, tadpoles, frogs, and other wet ‘n wild animals around Lake Placid.  Dates: finished for 2017

For all weekday family programs: Meet at the picnic flats parking lot (1st lot that is on the left).
Program time: 10 am – noon.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Cost: $7.00 per person, including adults, payable with cash at the welcome station in place of admission.  Registration required.  Limit 30.
